He will take you off the beaten track on routes that he has designed and mapped himself. Highlights of the trip
You will reach your first summit, the Tête de la Jacquette (2,757 m / 9,045 ft), via the Col des Estronques. What a day! There are already views over the Queyras valleys to enjoy from here.
You will then descend the mountainside to Saint-Véran, the highest commune in France, where you will spend the evening and night in the village.
Set off from the village to discover the magnificent cirque above the Refuge de la Blanche, from where you will climb the Pic de Caramantran (3,025 m / 9,925 ft), straddling France and Italy. The 360° view from here of contrasting and distant landscapes is truly breathtaking.
The short descent will lead you to the Agnel refuge via a beautiful wild path.
You will then embark on a gentle descent to the Foréan and Egorgéou lakes before reaching the small hamlet of La Monta and its B&B for the night.
From here you will once again be able to take in the landscapes on both sides of the French-Italian border. Finally, you will descend to Le Roux d'Abriès and the evening’s accommodation.
A spectacular variant will take you up to the Pic du Malrif (2,906 m / 9,535 ft) and its breathtaking views over the lakes below. Depending on how the group feels, you can climb the Grand Glaiza (3,293 m / 10,805 ft) before descending to the Fonts de Cervières refuge where you will spend the evening and night.
You will then embark on a beautiful climb to the Col de Furfande (2,500 m / 8,200 ft).
At last, the Furfande refuge will be just a stone's throw away as you enjoy discovering the many barns that dot the mountain pasture. A last evening in the mountains does not come more magical than this!
The day begins with a descent to the beautiful Bramousse bridge.
After that, there is one last mountain pass, the Col de Bramousse (2,251 m / 7,385 ft), from where you can admire the view. You will also be able to see Ceillac below, so you can see how far you have come!
You will then embark on one last descent to arrive in the village at the end of the afternoon. This will be your last chance to chat with the group before returning home with plenty of memories.
