As a true mountain lover, he has made the area his playground and his profession. He will take you off the beaten track on routes that he has designed and mapped himself. Sharing his experience and passion with you every step of the way, you can entrust yourself completely to his guidance.
Highlights of the trip
You will follow an old mule track to get to your accommodation for the night
Ideally, you will cross the Basei mountain pass at 3,000 m (9,845 ft) and enjoy the stunning views.
You will be able to admire Val d’Isère, below you, before crossing a rocky landscape to reach the inviting Bezzi refuge.
Before descending via the well-known Col Fenêtre, you’ll get the opportunity to meet the friendly wardens at Refuge de l’Épée.
You will then descend a lovely route past the Djouan lakes and through a larch forest before reaching Valsavarenche.
The afternoon will be a relaxing one, so you can save your energy, discover the area around the refuge and listen to your guide’s instructions for the ascent of Gran Paradiso.
As the sun rises, you’ll strap on your crampons to reach the summit. After a moment suspended in time, with stars in your eyes, you’ll descend past the Victor Emmanuel refuge to reach Pont mid-afternoon.

Be aware of the restrictive clauses contained in certain insurance policies (particularly those linked to bank cards such as Visa Premier, Gold or others), for example mountain insurance restricted to snow activities and altitude sickness not recognised as an illness requiring repatriation, resulting in refusal to repatriate.
